This June, we gathered charity leaders for an afternoon of reflection, connection and a little more thriving. Here’s how it felt.
This June, Heart-Centred Leaders turned six We marked it the only way that felt right, by filling a room with charity leaders and giving everyone a rare afternoon to pause.
There was no agenda to race through. We set intentions, talked honestly about what it takes to lead well without burning out, and reminded each other that thriving isn’t a luxury. It’s how good leadership lasts. If you were there, thank you for bringing yourself so fully into the room. If you couldn’t make it, here’s a flavour of the day.
The day in pictures, captured by the lovely people in the room.
“I had the most wonderful afternoon. You made me stop and think hard about the life I want to live.” Penny Wilson
“I left feeling energised, hopeful and deeply inspired.” Gosia Gorna
“A joy to meet inspiring colleagues, and to hear how we can lead successfully and sustainably while thriving as individuals.” Lisa Kiew
“A service that connects viscerally with the challenges faced by leaders of helping organisations.” Paul Doble
At the event I shared one small part of the THRIVE framework, the T, which is about trust. It’s the piece that quietly underpins everything else. When leaders don’t trust themselves or the people around them, no amount of strategy makes up the difference.
That idea seemed to land in the room, an it’s the kind of honest, practical thinking I bring to the leaders and teams I work with.
If this sounds like something you need, let’s talk. No pitch, no pressure. Just proper conversation about you and where you’re heading. Whether it’s your own leadership or the team around you, I’d love to help.
